Discovery
Before storyboarding, we looked at how fund managers currently source LPs and found the process was largely manual and relationship-dependent, since investor activity inside funds is rarely disclosed. That gap became our emotional hook: the frustration of guessing versus the relief of instantly seeing verified answers. We also identified LP Grid's strongest visual asset — the moment a user clicks into a fund and its investor list unfolds — as the natural centerpiece of the story, since it turns an abstract data product into something immediate, tangible, and easy to grasp in seconds.
Concept Development
The concept we built frames LP Grid as the antidote to fundraising guesswork, moving through problem, solution, hero reveal, and payoff rather than listing features. Instead of cataloguing every capability, we anchored the story on one "wow" moment — clicking a fund and watching its investors appear — supported by a rotating globe motif representing coverage across the UK, Germany, and France. The look leans premium fintech: dark backgrounds, precise typography, and confident, minimal UI overlays, chosen to match a serious VC audience and position LP Grid as a data authority rather than another dashboard tool.
Animation
We paced the animation for a cold LinkedIn scroll — fast enough to hook attention in the opening seconds, but deliberate at the hero moment, letting the investor reveal breathe before moving on. Motion favors smooth, restrained transitions between UI states, with dashboards, filters, and profile cards sliding and resolving cleanly rather than relying on flashy effects. The globe sequence adds a beat of scale and sophistication between data moments. The result is a confident 45 seconds that feels like a direct extension of LP Grid's product, not a separate marketing layer.
